Players Must Play in the League Based on the Age He/She Will be on April 30, 2026.
The East Youth Baseball Minor League is designed for younger/inexperienced 9-11 year olds (starting in 2026 we will now have the option for advanced 8 year olds to register for Minors) that want to increase their skill and experience with live pitch baseball in a more instructional environment. Coaches are expected to teach their players the game of live pitch baseball, while also teaching respect for the game, their coaches, their teammates, themselves, and their opponents.
All players will be required to go through assessments prior to the season. Even if they played in Minor League the previous year. Based on assessments East could decide that a player needs to be playing in Majors. If this situation occurs, East will reach out to their parents.
The game will be played a full six innings. Score will be kept during games, but there will not be any records or team standings. Teams will bat their entire lineup, and allow free substitutions. Each player must play at least 2 defensive innings. There will be a 6 run limit per half inning. After a 3rd walk of an inning a coach will come out to pitch if needed to keep the game moving.
NEW IN 2026
MAJOR/MINOR COMBINATION OPTION (9 & 10 YEAR OLDS): COST $200
This option is for 9 & 10 year olds who want to play both Major & Minor Leagues. The additional cost is to cover a second uniform. Players will be required to go through Assessments. Based on assessments East could decide that a player needs to be playing in only Major or Minor. If this situation occurs, East will reach out to their parents. If player ends up only playing in one league the difference in the cost of league will be refunded.
