9/12 Major League (Live Pitch with Coaches Draft) Cost $170.00

The East Youth Baseball Major League is designed to for 9-12 year olds that want to increase their skill and competition level. Coaches are expected to teach their players the game of baseball at a higher level, while also teaching respect for the game, their coaches, their teammates, themselves, and their opponents.

The game will be played a full six innings. Teams will play nine players at a time, but allowing for limited substitution. Playing time is up to the coach's discretion, unlike the other leagues at East where there are certain playing time rules.

Finally, it is important to East that we monitor pitchers' workload to limit the likelihood of pitching fatigue. So, beginning in the Spring 2019 season, EYB will implement the Pitch Smart pitch count guidelines, located on MLB.com.

Players Must Play in the League Based on the Age He/She Will be on April 30, 2019.

Our (8) Major League teams comprise of ball players from ages 9 through 12 years old. Each team is unique with regard to their draft situation from year to year. East has draft rules specific for our league. Managers draft according to their needs, both skill-wise and age specific.

Potentially, a team may not need to draft a player this year. Some teams may need to draft 4 or 5 players. What is a guarantee is that not every player that will tryout will be drafted. It is not unusual to have over 75 Major League players tryout and less than 20 drafted.
